PUT-EM ON THE BOARD...YESSS...! Rawlings Arkansas teams win 6 more championships while finishing runner-up 3 times. That brings the total for the year to 64 tournament wins for the organization thus far!

 

 

Over the weekend of April 26th, most of the Rawlings Teams were on the sidelines preparing for a long May. Some of our teams continued to grind it out and played tournaments that weekend anyway. Out of the 5 teams that competed, the organization came away with two more titles and two runner-up finishes.

 

The May 5th weekend saw a few more teams competing than the weekend before, largely due to rain outs in Memphis and Jonesboro. Over the weekend Rawlings Arkansas Baseball Clubs added 4 more championships.

 

 

(5/5/13) The Rawlings Elite 14's came back from an 0-2 start in pool play to win 4 consecutive games to capture the 3rd leg of the Wally Hall TOC Open Division. They defeated the Mighty Blue Birds by the score of 7-2 in the championship game.

 

(5/5/13) The Rawlings Prospect-Lister 13's went 4-0-1 to take the championship of the CASM-May Day Home run Showdown open division. The Prospects held on to a 2-1 victory in the championship game!

 

(5/5/13) The Rawlings Prospect-Roberson 12's also won the CASM-May Day Home run Showdown open division. This is their 2nd consecutive tournament win as they outscored their opponents 53-14. The Prospects hit 8 home runs in the tournament and defeated the Arkansas Express 15-3 in the championship game!

 

(5/5/13) The Rawlings Select-Taylor 12's won 5 straight games this weekend to win their second tournament in three weeks at the 3rd leg of the Wally Hall TOC. The Select averaged 11.9 runs per game during the tournament and beat Diamond Baseball Club 17-3 in the championship!

 

(4/26/13) The Prospect-Newton 9's ran their winning streak up to 9 games by going 4-0 at the CASM Battle at the Diamond Classic to win their 3rd championship in their last 4 attempts. The team beat the Conway Gators in the Championship 15-7!

 

 

(4/26/13) The Prospect-Fecher 7's captured their 2nd title in a row with a 4-0 record to win the ASE 4th Annual Crush It Championship. They run ruled the Cabot Mayhem 17-7 in the title game!

Player of the week!

 

John (J-Matt) Rogers won the player of the week for the Central Arkansas area. J-Matt went 5-7 with 6 walks and 4 home runs. He also picked up a win on the mound in leading the Prospect 12's to the tournament win.

 

Honorable Mention:

Caleb Barrentine (Select-Taylor 12's) - Threw a 5 inning perfect game no hitter.

Tristan Nichols (select Taylor 12's) - Went 8-10 with 2 home runs.

 

Rawlings Arkansas teams embark on the Memphis area for the Super NIT.

 

The Rawlings Arkansas Organization is sending 14 teams this weekend to the Memphis area for the Super NIT. The organization is looking to make a strong statement at the tournament in its 2nd year in existence.

 

The Rawlings Arkansas Organization will be joined by other Rawlings Prospect teams from Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and Illinois. There will be a total of 26 Rawlings teams competing.

 

There will be a designated Rawlings Club area at Snowden Grove on Saturday in the parking lot near complex D. Our National Director (Jerry Daniels) will be supplying a hot dog and a drink for every Rawlings player that would like to come. The food will be cooked between 12-2pm. If there is a change to the schedule due to weather, the time the food will be available may switch. We encourage all of you that are playing to stop in the parking lot between your games.

Rawlings Arkansas teams win 5 tournaments and have 6 runner-up finishes last weekend! Rawlings Arkansas teams defeat two different top ranked teams in the country.

 

After 13 tournament wins the past two weekends, the Rawlings Clubs continue their winning ways. The Rawlings Clubs combined to win another 5 tournaments and finish runner up 6 times.

 

Eight of the Rawlings teams competed in the Global Southeast Shootout tournament in the Van Buren area last weekend. This is the biggest, most prestigeous tournament in the state this year. Each age group had over 20 teams competing for a title. The tournament brought teams in from 7 different states.

 

Southeast Global Shootout Highlights:

 

- 8 teams competed and had a combined record of 25-10-1 in the tournament.

 

- DQ Rawlings Prospect 13's - Champions

- Rawlings Prospect-Netwon 9's - Champions

- Rawlings Prospect 14's routed the #1 ranked team in the country, Mac-N-Seitz Indians 16-2. The Prospect 14's finished runner up. This brings there overall record to 38-8 this season.

- Rawlings Prospect-Kenny 13's upset the #1 ranked team in the country, BC/KC Rawlings Prospects 4-3 in extra innings. The Prospects also knocked off 15th ranked Bad Boy Mowers to make it an all Arkansas Prospect finals. They finished runner-up to the DQ Prospects.

The Rawlings DQ Prospect 13's went 5-0 in the Southeast Global Shootout. They defeated the Rawlings Prospect-Kenny 13's (10-2) in the championship game to take home another tourney win! The two teams are pictured here together as the championship was an all Prospect final out of 26 teams. The DQ Prospects averaged 9.2 runs per game while posting a 1.60 ERA for the tournament. The Rawlings Prospect-Newton 9's went 5-0 to capture the Southeast Global Shootout championship. The Prospects pounded the Arkansas Express in the title game (14-0) to win the rings. READ the youth1.com article here.

 

Rawlings Prospect-Fecher 7's won the 1st annual Sherwood Baseball Complex Classic. The 7's went 4-0 to win their second consecutive tourney.

 

Rawlings Prospect-Tissue 8's went 4-0 to win the 1st annual Sherwood Baseball COmplex Classic. This is the 9th tournament win of the season for the team.

 

Prospect-Roberson 12's have a perfect weekend as they went 5-0 to win the Branson Global NIT. The Prospects put on a hitting showcase out scoring their foes 44-13 while belting 14 homeruns.

Players of the week!

 

Organizational players of the week will be picked starting in May. A player from NWA and Central Arkansas will be picked as the most outstanding player from the previous weekend. The player will recieve his name on a plaque that will be placed at BNS-Springdale and BNS-Sherwood. Players will be announced at the end of next weekend.

 

Most Teams taking off next weekend to prepare for big regional tournaments in May.

Rawlings Arkansas teams win 13 tournaments over the past two weekends!

 

Teams across the state have been winning tournaments all season long, but over the past two weekends they have combined to take home 13 tournament championships. The Rawlings Clubs have also finished runner up 6 times in that time span.

The Rawlings DQ Prospect 13's went to Dallas and went 7-0 to win the Dallas/Ft. Worth Open Super NIT this past weekend. They knocked off the #2 ranked Houston Banditos in the championship 8-0. The team is now ranked #3 in power rankings on USSSA. This is DQ Prospects 5th tournaey win in a row.

 

The Rawlings Prospect 14's won the Best of the South Championship in South Haven, MS last weekend. This marks the 7th tournament championship for the Prospect 14's this season.

 

Select 14's-Mourning won the Diamond Duel Global this past weekend in West Memphis. They defeated the Arkansas Stingrays in the championship 8-0. This victory moved the Select-Mourning team up to 4th in the State Standings.

 

NWA Prospect 14's win 6 straight games to win the 14 Open division of the Midwest Showcase Championship. The NWA Prospects held on in the championship game to win 10-9.

 

Prospect-Fecher 7's defeat their rival Easton Elite in the championship of the ASE Jackpot tournament.

 

Prospect-Miller 7's Win the CASM Dick Sports Championship last weekend. The team has won all 6 tournaments it has competed in. The win this weekend pushed them to a #1 national ranking!.
